Conceptual Art

Suffering — physical and psychological — has become meaningful. Not only my own, but the suffering of the world around us: of nature, of animals, of women, of everything we consume and discard without looking.

I am my own model; my body is my canvas. In conceptual self-portraits I translate emotions and lived experience into images, working with natural tissue and real blood to reach the core of each concept. The macabre in my work is not decoration — it reflects an emotional journey through chronic illness, misdiagnosis and recovery, and it makes each concept hit harder, and more personal.

My work is silent protest. It is activism without slogans: a feminist voice, a confrontation with the harsh realities of our factory farming industry, with the exploitation of nature and of the female body. I don't shout — I show. The viewer decides whether to look away.

Making art became a transformation: a journey into my own soul. Now that personal suffering has made way for healing, the focus of my work is shifting — from what the body endures to what the world endures, and what both survive.
